Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA)
The Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA) was originally founded in the 1960s, but discontinued for almost 2 decades before it was revived in its current form in 1988. Today, UMA counts over 700 members from the private as well as from the public sector. Its objective are to
- Promote, protect and coordinate interests of members;
- Act as an observer and representative for members;
- Initiate discussions amongst members; and to
- Advise the government on policies.
